Meet Lauren

I’m Lauren & I’m so glad you’re here!

At the core of my therapy practice is a commitment to offer you a safe, supportive environment where you can let your guard down without fear of judgement or criticism.

No matter what you’re going through, you’re welcome here.

What can you expect from working with me?

Holistic approach

Mental health is connected to our overall health and our environment. Our work together will also look at things like sleep, nutrition, movement, and being in nature. We have to look at the whole picture and make intentional changes that can help you feel better emotionally.

Practical skills

We will meet for about 50 minutes a week or every other week, but you need concrete tools to apply to the rest of your time. I want you to have real strategies AND understand how they work so that you can feel confident facing daily challenges.

New perspectives

Our view of ourselves, others, and the world is deeply engrained. We will work on seeing things from different perspectives, compassionately challenging negative beliefs, and letting go of old patterns that no longer serve you.

Evidence-based treatments

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. As a therapist that has been trained in various modalities including Eye Movement & Desensitization Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), expressive arts, Synergetic Play Therapy (it’s not just for kids!), and Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy, I will pull from a variety of methods to help you meet your goals for counseling. I am also trained as a Therapeutic Game Master and provide group therapy to teen girls+ using tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons 5e.
